The ECO4 Scheme helps households to lower energy bills, improve the energy rating of dwellings and reduce the UK’s carbon footprint. ECO 4 offers a wide range of energy saving measures.
The ECO4 scheme is a UK government energy efficiency programme running from April 2022 to March 2026, aimed at supporting low-income and vulnerable households by funding energy-saving improvements to their homes. It targets properties with poor energy performance (typically EPC ratings of D, E, F or G) and may cover measures such as insulation, first-time central heating, boiler upgrades, air source heat pumps, and solar panels. Eligibility is usually based on receiving means-tested benefits, although local councils can refer households under a flexible eligibility route. ECO4 is largely funded by major energy suppliers and delivered through TrustMark-registered installers, with most improvements offered free of charge to qualifying homeowners.
